Day 1 | Welcome to Mexico City!
Upon your arrival, you'll have time to explore the Mexican capital on your own. Discover the central museums and visit Chapultepec Forest. You might also want to start by visiting some local markets or enjoying a taqueria!
Day 2 | Tour of historic Mexico City with street food tasting
Explore the Historic Center of Mexico City, a UNESCO World Heritage site, visiting landmarks such as the Metropolitan Cathedral, the ruins of the ancient Aztec city, the Palace of Fine Arts, and the Postal Palace. Don't forget to sample the local food from the shops!
Day 3 | Be amazed by the pre-hispanic beauty of the chinampas in Xochimilco and explore the Casa Azul Museum
Explore the canals of Xochimilco aboard a 'chinampa,' offering a unique landscape and a chance to discover various animal and plant species thriving in Xochimilco. Next, you will visit the Blue House, famously known as Frida Kahlo's home. The Mexican painter's photographs and paintings left behind provide a glimpse into her everyday life.
Day 4 | Biking in Teotihuacán, "The City of the Gods"
Visit one of the most impressive archaeological sites, Teotihuacán, also known as the "City of the Gods." Take a bicycle tour to explore the valley and the mural route.
Day 5 | Between markets and corn in the magical town of Cholula
Stroll through the emblematic streets of Cholula, leading you to the Church of Our Lady of Remedies, built atop a pyramid. From there, enjoy an incredible view of the volcanoes in the Valley of Mexico. You'll also have the opportunity to savor local cuisine by visiting a restaurant where corn is the secret ingredient in their recipes.
Day 6 | Welcome to Oaxaca!
In Oaxaca, a UNESCO World Heritage Cultural Site, discover colonial-style charm, vibrant markets, crafts, textiles, mezcal, and the famous tlayudas topped with tasajo (thinly sliced beef).
Day 7 | Oaxacan Markets: A Culinary Journey through Colors and Flavors
Join a culinary tour starting at the 'Mercado de Abastos.' Taste the popular 'memelas' by Doña Vale, then head to the 'Mercado de la Merced' to sample empanadas with your choice of sauce, along with a grasshopper tortilla and poleo tea. This is just the beginning of the gastronomic journey.
Day 8 | A tour through Teotitlán del Valle and its handicrafts in Oaxaca
Explore Teotitlán del Valle, renowned as the 'Land of the Gods,' where you can engage with artisans skilled in crafting textiles with natural dyes and making candles. You'll also savor a specially crafted dish tailored just for you.
Day 9 | Rural cooking workshop in Oaxaca
Visit Teotitlán del Valle, a Zapotec community where you'll meet the 'comideras,' women renowned for their culinary knowledge and skills, who prepare food for community festivities. Learn about local ingredients and then join in preparing a traditional dish in one of the local kitchens. Enjoy this hands-on culinary experience!
Day 10 | Transfer from Oaxaca to Oaxaca International Airport
A driver will pick you up to take you to Oaxaca International Airport.
