Day 1 | Arrival in Mexico City
A local driver will be waiting for you at the exit gate, holding a sign with your name. He will transport you to your accommodation in Mexico City. Enjoy some time to explore the Mexican capital independently. If you want to immerse yourself in the local culture, stroll through neighborhoods like Roma, where you'll find Art Deco architecture and excellent restaurants, or San Ángel, with its cobblestone streets, art galleries, and sidewalk cafés.
Day 2 | Lucha Libre Experience & Mezcal Tasting
This tour introduces you to one of the most famous activities of Mexican popular culture: Lucha Libre. It all starts in front of the majestic Palacio de Bellas Artes with a visit to a traditional Mexican cantina. Enjoy a tasting of artisanal mezcal accompanied by famous Mexican guacamole as your local guide tells you a bit about the history of wrestling. From here, you'll set out on a walking tour to the famous Arena México, while your guide amazes you with stories of “El Santo” and “Blue Demon,” two of the biggest stars in the history of Lucha Libre.
Day 3 | Gastronomy in the Aztec capital
Immerse yourself in the heart of the historic center and uncover the gastronomic roots of the Aztec capital with a private visit to the San Juan Market. Renowned chefs and local buyers flock to this famous market in search of the finest products, meats, and specialties, ranging from fruits and vegetables to exotic items like lion meat.
Day 4 | Frida Kahlo’s Casa Azul, the Canals of Xochimilco, and the Charm of Coyoacán
Visit the Casa Azul and be captivated by the legacy of Mexican painter Frida Kahlo. This museum offers an intimate glimpse into her life and work through a collection of paintings, photographs, and personal items. Explore the charming neighborhood of Coyoacán, a vibrant area filled with cobblestone streets, colorful colonial buildings, and a bohemian atmosphere. Stroll through its picturesque plazas, visit the iconic Church of San Juan Bautista, and enjoy the lively local culture that has inspired artists for generations.
Discover the canals of Xochimilco, whose name in Náhuatl means “Place of Flowers” and which was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1987. Ride on a traditional trajinera boat and take in the beauty of this unique aquatic ecosystem while soaking in its vibrant atmosphere.
Day 5 | Flight over Teotihuacán
A private driver will pick you up at your hotel in Mexico City around 5 am to ride for an hour (depending on traffic) to the outskirts of the city, to the Air Balloon Port, from where you'll take off on a sky adventure! Allow yourself to be amazed by the sunrise and valley views. After this adventure, enjoy a delicious breakfast before continuing your visit to one of the most impressive archaeological sites in Mexico, experiencing it in a unique way.
Day 6 | Transfer from Mexico City to Cancún and Arrival in Playa del Carmen
Begin your journey with a flight to Cancún (not included). Upon arrival, pick up your rental car to explore the area at your own pace. Drive to Playa del Carmen and get ready to enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of the Riviera Maya.
Day 7 | Arrival to Playa del Carmen
Today, your local guide will meet you at your hotel at 6 a.m. with a group of other travellers to begin your 7 hour experience, together you will head to the community of Chemuyil. In the company of your guide and pedalling a bicycle, you will get to know the jungle and the cenotes. This is a project initiated by 5 young people from the community, who are looking to promote and preserve the place where they used to live and play during their childhood. The initiative allows visitors to explore virgin jungles, discover the fauna and become one with nature. The bike ride is short, it is important that you enjoy swimming in the cenotes. The first one is known locally as La Cuevita; an enclosed cenote where your guide will tell you anecdotes and stories about the place. Next, you will go to an open cenote where you will enjoy some relaxing moments surrounded by the abundant nature where, with a bit of luck, you will be able to observe some of the endemic birds of the Yucatan Peninsula. Finally, you will visit an open cenote of spectacular beauty. All of them are part of a system fed by the largest underground river in the world. At the end of the designated time for the activity, your experience will be over.
Day 8 | Diving with turtles
Today, your local guide will pick you up to join a group of travelers and take you to Akumal, one of the favorite destinations in the Caribbean Sea and the place where you will practice snorkeling for approximately one hour. First, you will board a boat to move away from the coast for about two minutes. Here, you will visit Akumal Bay, a Marine Species Protection Refuge Area decreed by CONANP since 2016, where you can explore depths ranging from 4 to 35 meters with snorkeling equipment and the necessary safety to swim and enjoy turtle watching. Several species visit Mexican beaches, such as the green turtle (Chelonia mydas), the loggerhead turtle (Caretta caretta), and the hawksbill turtle (Eretmochelys imbricata). You must follow the regulations and instructions to avoid disturbing or harming the turtles and be able to admire them in their full splendor.
Day 9 | Tulum Ruins and tropical jungle
You will begin this adventure early in the morning, when you will be picked up at your hotel and head towards Tulum, an ancient Mayan city located in front of the breathtaking Caribbean Sea. Upon arrival in Tulum, you will observe the ruins and ocean views. Your guide will lead you on a tour where you will uncover the secrets and traditions of this civilization. After visiting Tulum, you will enter the tropical jungle and begin exploring the cenotes, where you can swim.
Day 10 | Departure
Drive from your hotel in Playa del Carmen to Cancún International Airport. The journey takes about an hour, during which you will pass through Yucatán villages, experience the local nature, and catch glimpses of the Caribbean Sea.
