Day 1 | Welcome to Mexico City!
Transfer from Mexico City Airport to your accommodation, followed by free time in Mexico City. Explore Chapultepec Park, then venture into neighborhoods like Roma, renowned for its art deco architecture and excellent restaurants, or San Ángel, characterized by cobblestone streets, art galleries, and sidewalk cafés.
Day 2 | Tour of the historic Mexico City with street food tasting
Today you will visit the Historic Center of Mexico City, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. At the meeting point your local guide will be waiting for you to start a walking tour of approximately 4 hours through the streets of the Aztec capital. During this experience you will learn about the history and gastronomy of Mexico while visiting the most emblematic places of the historic center such as the Metropolitan Cathedral, the ruins of the ancient Aztec city, the Palace of Fine Arts and the Postal Palace, you will also make a few stops at local food stalls and restaurants that your guide will take you to and taste traditional Mexican food including tacos and a dessert. You will understand why Mexican gastronomy is considered Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, at the end of the experience you will return to your lodging.
Day 3 | Visit the Basílica of Santa María of Guadalupe
Visit the Basílica of Santa María of Guadalupe. Explore the archaeological site of Teotihuacán. Walk along the famous Calzada de los Muertos and visit the most emblematic buildings, such as the Palace of Quetzalpapalotl, famous for its murals and pillars, as well as the 42-meter high Pyramid of the Moon and the Pyramid of the Sun.
Day 4 | Be amazed by the pre-hispanic beauty of the chinampas in Xochimilco
Visit one of the most emblematic areas of Mexico City: the canals of Xochimilco, whose name in Náhuatl means "Place of Flowers". Afterward, you will head to the neighborhood of Coyoacán, known as "place where there are coyotes" in Náhuatl. A professional guide will accompany you as you tour this famous and picturesque neighborhood. Wander through cobblestone streets that lead to historic landmarks in San Ángel, including mansions like the Mariscal de Castilla, Mayorazgo de Fagoaga, Bishop of Madrid, and Porfirio Díaz's residence.
Day 5 | Visit some of the most important museums in Mexico city
Take a guided tour to the National Museum of Anthropology, one of the most important museums in Latin America and the world. Built in the 1960s by architect Pedro Ramírez Vázquez, it boasts 22 rooms dedicated to preserving Mexico's rich indigenous heritage. Visit Chapultepec Castle to experience a captivating blend of history, culture, and stunning views. As you ascend the castle's winding pathways, immerse yourself in the grandeur of its architecture, showcasing a fusion of styles including Neoclassical and Mudéjar.
Day 6 | Visit the Museum Diego Rivera and Explore the Casa Azul Museum
Anahuacalli, conceived by Diego Rivera as both an architectural masterpiece and a City for the Arts, integrates seamlessly with its natural surroundings, bridging past, present, and future. Step inside Casa Azul and be captivated by the legacy of Mexican painter Frida Kahlo on this approximately 3-hour tour. This museum invites you to immerse yourself in the life of the painter and her work through a collection of paintings, photographs, and personal items.
Day 7 |Transfer to Mexico City International Airport
Your driver will take you to the airport, where you'll board your flight home or to your next destination.
