Day 1 | Welcome to Guadalajara!
Explore the stunning architecture of Guadalajara by heading downtown. Marvel at the Guadalajara Cathedral, boasting distinctive neo-gothic spires, and the historic Teatro Degollado, a neoclassical gem. Immerse yourself in the lively ambiance of the Mercado Libertad, a sprawling indoor market, where you can indulge in delicious food and refreshing drinks.
Day 2 | The Historic Route of Guadalajara
Embark on a tour of the Historic Center to uncover the most iconic sites of Guadalajara or the "Perla Tapatía." Marvel at the diverse architectural styles blending neoclassical, baroque, and gothic influences. Explore emblematic buildings like the Cabañas Cultural Institute, recognized as a World Heritage Site, along with the Regional Museum of Guadalajara, the Government Palace and vibrant squares adorned with artwork by renowned Jalisco artists.
Day 3 | Tequila Route and Agavero Landscape with Distillery Visit
Today, with your local guide and a group of travelers, you will visit the enigmatic archaeological zone of Guachimontones and the Magical Town of Tequila. Your first stop will be Teuchitlán, considered by some researchers as one of the most important findings of western archaeology in Mesoamerica for having circular pyramids, better known as Guachimontones, these structures are unique, as to date no pyramids with this type of architecture have been found anywhere else in the world. Afterwards, you will head to the Magical Town of Tequila, but first, you will visit a family tequila factory to learn about its famous production process, here you can also admire the wonderful views of the agave landscape, as well as the Tequila Volcano, which with its 2,900 meters high dominates the entire region. Finally, you will visit the Magical Town of Tequila where you will have free time to stroll through its picturesque streets and enjoy the lifestyle around the tequila culture, where the natural and cultural attractions emblematic of Mexican culture stand out.
Day 4 | Welcome to Puerto Vallarta!
Fly to Puerto Vallarta (flight not included) and rent a car to drive to your hotel, where your adventure continues.
Day 5 | Turtle release
Enjoy this approximately 12-hour wilderness experience as you immerse yourself in the crystal-clear waters of the bay. Your adventure begins when your shared transportation picks you up to take you to Rincon de Guayabitos, where you will have a light lunch. Once ready, you will board a boat to Coral Island along with your local guide and a group of travelers. On this island, you will have a snorkeling class where you will learn how to use the equipment, and then you will explore the rocky coral reefs with your guide. If you prefer to relax, you can stay on the island to enjoy the sand and natural surroundings. Afterward, you will head to El Naranjo beach. During your visit, you will receive a complete and detailed thematic talk about sea turtles, their importance in the marine ecosystem, and the conservation efforts being made to protect them. You will also have the opportunity to witness and participate in the release of hatchling turtles. This moment will connect you with nature and allow you to directly contribute to the preservation of these endangered species. You will then return to Rincon de Guayabitos to enjoy lunch at the Pineda Restaurant. Finally, your transportation will take you back to Puerto Vallarta.
Day 6 | City Tour & Tequila Tasting
Today, your local guide will pick you up to join a group of travelers for a Puerto Vallarta tour of approximately six hours, where you will learn more about the monuments and history of the city. You will visit the Malecón, look up at the Seahorse sculpture, and walk through the city center until reaching a jewelry shop in the romantic zone. Enjoy any of the three drinks offered, including the "margarita," along with an explanation of the Fire Opal's history. Continue the tour to the Los Arcos de Mismaloya viewpoint to reach Rancho Verano restaurant, where you will experience a magical moment: a tequila tasting. The main focus of the tour will be an explanation of the production process of this drink, followed by its tasting and accompaniment, which you can select from the restaurant menu. Afterward, head back to your destination with full bellies and continue discovering what Puerto Vallarta has to offer.
Day 7 | Goodbye Puerto Vallarta
Drive from your accommodation to the airport.
