A busy morning of learning awaits you with the traditional Pib tamale cooks, who will guide you for four hours through the entire process of preparing and cooking one of the most traditional dishes of the peninsula.

Tamales are a Mexican icon, made with corn dough, filled with sauce and some kind of meat and wrapped in banana leaves; you will participate in the collection of banana leaves, in the collection and arrangement of firewood to light the oven (which is buried in the ground), in the creation of the corn dough and finally you will make your own tamale!

Tip: If the activity takes place between October 31 and November 8, you can bring a photograph of a loved one to the workshop for the Day of the Dead altar and ceremony.
