Explore Chiapas and immerse in the Lacandon culture.
The first travel itinerary for a 7 day trip to Mexico, we recommend is in Chiapas. One of the most iconic places in Mexico. Here you can explore from the best landscapes to the most impressive ruins, a unique experience.
Chiapas
Day 1: Arrival to Tuxtla Gutierrez and visit the Sumidero Canyon Natural Park, here you can board a boat to tour the impressive natural formation, surrounded by wildlife, if you are lucky, you may see crocodiles!
Day 2: Cooking experience in Zinacantan, you will visit San Cristobal de Las Casas, a magical town, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the culture and participate in the daily activities of the inhabitants of this place.
Day 3: From San Cristobal to Palenque on the way you will visit the waterfalls of Agua Azul and Misol-Ha, known for their crystalline waters; to end the day, you will explore the ruins of the area.
Day 4: Archaeological zone of Palenque, a site recognized for its historical value and for the ruins that you can find, this day you will visit the Roberto Barrios waterfalls where you can dive and find several species of fish, toucans and parrots.
Day 5: Ancient Mayan cities of Yaxchilán and Bonampak, transfer to Nahá, the sites you will visit this day are emblematic of the state of Chiapas, Yaxchilán is the first Mayan city, it is known for being a place surrounded by jungle with green stones, on the other hand Bonampak is a site where you will discover a little more of the history of the place. Day 7: Palenque to Villahermosa, Departure.

Mayan Culture & History in Tulum
Tulum
Day 1: Arrival to Cancun, transfer to Tulum.
Day 2: Chemuyil Cenotes, Tulum Archaeological Site. Chemuyil is a place of white sands and shallow water. You can explore the area by bike; you will be guided by people from the community and you will discover in the middle of nature a cenote. Later you will visit the archaeological areas of Tulum that are surrounded by mangroves, you will find unique views.
Day 3: Rio Secreto: The Mayan underworld, this place is a natural reserve where you will find one of the largest subway river systems in the world, in it you can see the geological formations of the caves, you can swim in freshwater, an experience not to be missed!
Day 4: Float in the Biosphere Reserve of Muyil Sian Ka ́an, its meaning “place where the sky is born” you will arrive to the community and you can visit archaeological zones, immerse yourself in the ecosystems in a unique way in contact with nature and you can also swim in the Chunyaxche lagoon known for its turquoise waters.
Coba
Day 5: Explore Coba by bike, experience the Mayan culture and visit the Punta Laguna Nature Reserve, a guided tour on a series of white roads through the archaeological sites, later you will visit a Mayan community, you will be invited by a family and taste traditional food, while you learn about their life and culture, finally you will explore the Nature Reserve surrounded by jungles and if you are lucky, you may encounter spider monkeys!

Discover central Mexico: From Mexico City to Oaxaca
The last option is an itinerary for you to visit and get to know from Mexico City. It is one of the oldest cities in America; to Oaxaca, a place rich in culture and one of the most delicious gastronomy in the country.
Mexico City
Day 1: Arrival in Mexico City, walking tour of the city center and street food, you will explore the center of the Mexican capital and its most emblematic places, such as the Palace of Fine Arts and the Zocalo, you will also visit a local market so you can try the best street tacos.
Day 2: National Museum of Anthropology and Chapultepec Castle, you will visit one of the most visited museums in Mexico, known for illustrating the past in Mexico and its cultures such as the Mayan or Aztec, then you will tour Chapultepec Castle, a neoclassical building used by the viceroys as a palace.
Day 3: Cycling in Teotihuacan “The City of the Gods” and overnight in Cholula, Teotihuacan is an archaeological site located in the State of Mexico you can visit the pyramids and ruins on a bike tour, at the end of your activities you will be transferred to Cholula so you can rest.
Puebla
Day 4: Free day in Cholula, a magical town, we suggest you try the food as it is exceptional, we also recommend you to visit the churches and explore the city.
Oaxaca
Day 5: Historical tour of the city of Oaxaca, transfer to Oaxaca. You will visit the most important places of this state; with a guide in which you will be able to observe the history Mexico throughout the years. Do not miss the decoration of the facades in baroque style.
Day 6: Visit Monte Alban and create your alebrije, this place was one of the first places in Mesoamerica; secondly, you will explore the archaeological site to learn about the life and history of the Zapotecas, finally you will move to the town of San Martin Tilcajete to see the crafts and you can create your own alebrije.
