Day 1: Welcome to Chiapas! Night in San Cristóbal de las Casas

Upon arrival at the Tuxtla Gutierrez airport, your local host will help you pick up your rental car and drive you to the magical town of San Cristobal de las Casas where your adventure in Chiapas will begin. Free night and rest.

Day 2: Gastronomic immersion in Zinacantán

Breakfast. You will head to San Juan Chamula, one of the indigenous Mayan Tzotzil villages immersed in the mountains of Chiapas, characterized by its autochthonous and religious tradition, which is manifested in its mystical rituals that combine pre-Hispanic and Catholic customs. Continue to Zinacantán, which has a colorful wealth of textile art and where you will meet the association “El camino de los altos” which brings together 130 Mayan weavers from the highlands of Chiapas. Return to San Cristobal to enjoy a free afternoon. Rest.

Day 3: Rafting trip on the Montebello Lakes

Breakfast. Departure to Tziscao, a community located in the heart of the Montebello Lakes National Park and very close to the border with Guatemala, upon arrival you will enjoy a raft ride accompanied by a local guide who will tell you about the wonders of this amazing place, you can contemplate the abundant vegetation and marvel at a unique natural landscape in Mexico, at the end you will continue to the magical town of Comitan. Free afternoon and rest in the evening.

Día 4: Encounter with the majesty of the 3 Tzimoleras

Breakfast. Today you will head to Tzimol, a small town descended from the Mayan culture, surrounded by sugar cane crops and a warm forest full of deer, badgers and tepezcuintles. Upon arrival you will begin your experience at Las Tzimoleras, 3 beautiful waterfalls surrounded by a natural paradise, here you will have the opportunity to relax, swim in its crystal clear waters and have a moment of connection with nature. Free afternoon and rest.

Day 5: Walk among giant ceibas

Breakfast. You will set out on a little known route, one of the great natural secrets of Chiapas. Here, together with your guide you will enter the jungle through a natural path of cedars and ceibas, you will learn to guide yourself through these trees, whose clean wood gives off aromas that fill the lungs and inspire life. You will enjoy a delicious lunch and have the afternoon free to contemplate the wonderful surroundings of this place. Dinner and rest.

Day 6: Kayak and navigation on the Lacatún River

Breakfast. Today you will kayak to the mouth of Miranda Creek, where you will listen to the stories of the river as you enter the reserve. From your kayak you will be able to observe the fauna accompanied by the sound of the water. You will enjoy a delicious lunch and then visit a butterfly exhibit and handicraft workshop to discover how the community uses the resources in a sustainable way, while you return navigating the Lacatun River let yourself be caught by the sound of the birds flying back to their homes. Dinner and rest.

Day 7: Free day in Yaxchilán and Corozal border

Breakfast. We suggest you visit the mysterious archaeological site of Yaxchilán, which is accessible by boat on the Usumacinta River. You will continue to Frontera Corozal where you will sleep tonight, but not before enjoying a delicious dinner made by your hosts. Rest.

Day 8: Hike in Lacandon Jungle South

Breakfast. Continue to Nahá, here you will take a trail to Hoch Há that takes you into the Lacandon jungle and invites you to enjoy the light filtering through the trees, as you enter the small lagoon fed by the Hoch Há waterfall, parrots and other brightly colored bird species will accompany you on the tour with their emblematic and joyful songs. Enjoy your lunch before starting a cultural tour of the surrounding area to learn about the traditions and the use of the natural resources of the place. Dinner and rest for the night.

Day 9: Between jungle and vestiges

Breakfast. Today you will participate in the interesting workshops of archery and clay crafts and then head to Metzabok which is located in the heart of the Northern Lacandon Jungle. With your local guide you will board a canoe to sail across Lake Tzibana to appreciate the beauty of this natural reserve, visit some cave paintings and a Mayan tomb, and finish with a visit to a lookout point from where you can observe the extensive jungle and the different lagoons. Dinner and rest.

Day 10: Waterfalls and magical sunset in Palenque

After breakfast, you will head to the beautiful waterfalls of Roberto Barrios to swim in its refreshing waters. In the afternoon, and after closing time, you will visit the archaeological site of Palenque so you can enjoy the site with very few people and in the light of the sunset. Your guide will take you to explore the most important structures and buildings of the site while you learn about the fascinating history of this ancient Mayan city. Rest at your hotel in Palenque.
