Day 1: Welcome! Let's explore San Miguel

Your adventure in Guanajuato begins and what better way to do it than starting in San Miguel de Allende, a city declared a World Cultural Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2008. On your first day you will make a walking tour of the most emblematic corners of the city, such as the Parish of San Miguel Arcangel, a mandatory stop on your visit, the Temple and Convent of the Immaculate Conception, the House of Culture, the Angel Peralta Theater and the Municipal Palace.

Day 2: Magical San Miguel

You can’t get to know San Miguel in one day, that’s why today you will have the whole day free to continue exploring it, for this we recommend you to consult our travel guide. You already know the most emblematic spots, now it’s your turn to get to know those that keep a unique and captivating beauty, such as the botanical garden Charco del Ingenio, with a huge collection of cacti and other succulent plants, some at risk of extinction, or visit the archaeological site Cañada de la Virgen, located a few kilometers from San Miguel. But if you are an adventure lover, you can take advantage of your visit to the archaeological zone to go horseback riding at the Xotolar ranch located a few minutes away.

Day 3: Walk in the forest at Xumu Park

“Today you will live a pleasant experience in Xumu Park. The vast cloud forest will allow you to have a connection with nature while hiking. Lunch will be during the course of the hike. And what better way to end the day than with a warm campfire in the forest. Be sure to pack comfortable clothes and shoes to live this experience. “

Día 4: Now it's time for San Luis

You will leave Xumu very early in the morning to continue this exciting trip through the heart of Mexico to San Luis Potosi. An evening stroll through the city will be a must, especially if you like to admire buildings and watch the movement of the locals at night.

Day 5: San Luis at every step

This day will be spent exploring the city during your free time. Start the day with a delicious breakfast at a food establishment in the market. For this day we recommend you to take the tourist streetcar that is in front of the cathedral, you will visit the most popular and emblematic points of the capital of San Luis Potosi, so you will get an idea of the place you want to visit later. Not only in Oaxaca there is mezcal, San Luis Potosi also has denomination of origin to produce mezcal, and for sure you will want to try it.

Day 6: Arrival at Las Margaritas

You will leave very early in the morning for the ejido Las Margaritas, where Raul, your host, will be waiting for you. Later, you will live a relaxing experience, as you will be able to immerse yourself in the hot springs. While you relax, your host will share with you the medicinal powers of the waters.

Day 7: Wirikuta Experience

“On this day you will continue with the fascinating experience, as you will be able to hike close to the village to get to know the flora and fauna of the place. Around the ejido there is a great variety of cacti and a very beautiful landscape. During the hike you can visit the Wixárika altar known as Kauyumari or Bernalejo, and Las Ánimas, which is a well-known tank nestled in the mountains. These lands are witness to countless pilgrimages of the Wixaric or Huichol culture. “

Day 8: Visiting Real de Catorce

Very close to Las Margaritas is the iconic Real de Catorce. Today it is time to walk through its cobblestone streets, its main attraction. In case you didn’t know, Real de Catorce was a mining town, which had its heyday in the 18th century, so it keeps mining vestiges and old mansions worth visiting. Be sure to pack your camera in your backpack so you can take pictures during the experience, as this magical town offers unparalleled views from any point.

Day 9: Natural immersion at Bel Ha

You will start the day with a delicious breakfast at the local house in Real de Catorce and then you will head to live a unique experience in Bel Ha, an ecotourism center located in the heart of the Huasteca Potosina, surrounded by lush vegetation, where fauna, flora and beautiful turquoise waterfalls, make this place a natural paradise. It will be the perfect moment to connect with nature while hiking around the park.

YYou will start as it should, with a delicious breakfast, because today will be a long day full of adventure. First you will go to the Bel Ha waterfalls to practice canyoning, the activity lasts approximately 2 hours. Day 11: Surrealism in Xilitla

You will leave very early from Bel Ha to Bernal, but you will take advantage of your passage through Xilitla to visit the Edward James Surrealist Garden in the heart of the huasteca potosina, its fantastic routes that cross the river and the jungle around it, will give you the sensation of being in another world. After this surreal experience you will continue on your way to Bernal.
